Coaching Service

Face-to-Face Sessions

🤝

In-person coaching for a hands-on, personal experience.

In-person coaching time with Ellen, arranged individually around location and availability. Some conversations are simply easier face-to-face — meeting in person can work well for a first session, a more in-depth conversation, or alongside a school or club visit, whatever suits the athlete and family best.

Ellen's own path has taken her from Millfield boys' football and Bristol City's academy through to the Women's Super League with Leicester City and Sunderland, and senior caps for Wales — all while managing Type 1 Diabetes since being diagnosed at 19. Meeting her in person is a chance to put questions directly to someone who's actually lived that route, not just heard about it.

Because this isn't a fixed video-call slot, the format is more flexible — get in touch directly to talk through what you need and check what's possible in your area.

Why It Helps

Benefits

A more personal conversation

Some things — a new diagnosis, a big decision about training or trials — are easier to talk through face-to-face than over a screen.

Can be paired with a school or club visit

If Ellen is already speaking at a school or club nearby, a face-to-face session can often be arranged around that visit.

Time with someone who's actually done it

Wales caps, a WSL debut at 17, a professional contract signed within a year of diagnosis — real, verifiable credibility, in the room with you.

Arranged around you

There's no fixed structure to fit into. Location, format and pricing are confirmed directly with Ellen based on what you actually need.

Real Scenarios

Where This Fits

Following up after a school talk

A pupil or parent who heard Ellen speak at a school or club event and wants to continue the conversation one-to-one, in person.

A first session, before committing to video calls

Some families prefer to meet in person once, to see if it's the right fit, before moving to ongoing video call support.

Time with a local club or academy

A club or academy wants Ellen to spend time with a squad, or with a specific player managing T1D, as part of a wider visit.

Ideal For

Athletes and parents who'd prefer to meet in person rather than over video call — particularly where it can be combined with a school or club visit, or where location makes it possible.
